So we first removed all the stuff from the sunroom. Then, with prybar and hammer in hand, we pulled out all the walls. This may seem like a difficult task, but in our case, it was not. The sunroom has 4x4 posts that hold up the roof and provide the basic framework for the walls. The "walls" are really just screen doors that have been cut to fit snugly between the posts. Then the panels were trimmed out and the whole sha-bang was painted to match. After about an hour or so, and with the help of our neighbor Jerry, all panels were pulled out, leaving us this:
Next, we mixed a solution of bleach and water into a sprayer and sprayed down the entire sunroom to rid it of all mildew. We gave it a thorough rinsing and let it dry for a day. Next, we painted all the posts, the ceiling, the trim that was left and the baseboards an exterior white. What a difference two coats of paint make! It is so shiny and clean!
