And my kitchen was quite the disaster area in the midst of it all:
Oh! And we caved in and bought a tree. We were going to wait until after Christmas and buy one on sale but we managed to rationalize it amongst ourselves and got one. Thanks to Mona, who suggested we check out Hobby Lobby because that is where we ended up purchasing it. Here are a couple of picutres of our "Christmas corner" as Adam calls it. Enjoy the half wall now because next summer, we are ripping it out. And our dog now thinks that every time the camera comes out, we MUST be taking pictures of him, so getting him out of the shot was next to impossible. Therefore just consider him part of the Christmas decor.
